Dule
Rosso di Barbagia 2001
80%
Cannonau, 40% (Sangiovese, Montepulciano and
Merlot)
The
2001 Dule adds Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and
Cabernet to the blend to give a darker-colored
wine with a warm, alcoholic nose which supplements
the plums and wild cherries with berry fruit,
more sustained and voluminous flavors, a solid
structure, and much sweetness and intensity
on the finish. Lorenzo Landi has taken over
the winemaking here and, as ever, his professionalism
is very much felt.
