Over half a century ago, the once vineyard cultivator of Grinzane Cavour began fermenting a portion of his own crop. He was soon joined by his son and was able to ferment all of the grapes on his property. Today, the property is owned and managed by this man’s granddaughter, Bruna Grimaldi and her husband, Franco Fiorno. Both are trained enologists and have increased the family business, acquiring 20 more acres of vineyards in Diano d’Alba, Corneliano, and Serralunga d’Alba. Highly regarded professionals Gianpiero Romana and Beppe Caviola are now working as agronomist and winemaker respectively. The estate aims for the highest possible quality and personality of the wines, respecting the territory, soil and microclimate of the land.
